Introduction To one of the most Powerful Lyricists Ive heard SOUL FOOD

Soul Food.

My music is my name.

I've been rapping since the late 80's, but I got serious about my music in 2000.

The first album I dropped was called 3rd Degree Burns, that was in 98. It moved well enough to make me take this game serious.

From 1999 to 2000 I was heavy on the underground mix-tape circuit. I featured on GunRunnerz, Incyun, laced the sound track for Snitch In New York, and went in on a double disk duo album with Eddie Kane JR aka Snake Eyes.

That's when shit was all good.

The summer of 2000 is when I was supposed to come out. But actually, the summer of 2000 is when I went in.

This is when I learned my first rule of the industry.

The same people that help you climb a tree, are the same people that watch you fall through the branches.

I got up and dusted myself off and got right back to business. From 2001 - 2006 I continued my assault on mixtapes, but it became very clear what I had to do to make a name for myself in this game.

I had to do something that was never done. I had to make a better product. At the end of the day, thats what it's all about. Product. People want the kind of product they can stand by and represent.

It's like Belvie or Grey Goose. When people mention those names, you wanna-be somewhere in that picture. Those products stand on themselves. Thats my product. Un-filtered and unbound by the industry rules of engagement.

My name is my music, my name is my product!! Soul Food.

The Title Says It All ..I INTRODUCE THE WORLD TO DUN

MANY PEOPLE ASKED WHO DONE THE INTRO SO HERE HE IS THE MAN DUN,FOR THOSE WHO NEVER PEEPED THE INTRO PEEP IT HERE DUN TREAZY RADIO SHOW INTRO

About DUN

One of THE Most Under-Rated, Un-Signed Hip Hop Artists in New Jersey. Born and raised in the streets of Irvington “Krooked I”, New Jersey, the artist known by one syllable, DUN, grew up on the rhymes and metaphors of Rahkim and Big Daddy Kane, inspired by the lyrics and successes of Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre and Jay-Z. Since writing his first rhyme in 7th grade, DUN has been on his grind in the studio, mastering his craft since the age of 14 as a freshman at Irvington High School. Now as a matured artist, describing his style as “Old School Renaissance”, DUN is out to reclaim hip hop, bringing back classic, tight lyrical skills, not just a good hook and a hot beat. Since 1996, DUN has been in several talent shows and open mic events, and has distributed 6 studio albums in the Tri-State area. He has been heard on several Against All Odds commercials produced by DJ Ran. Most recently, he can be heard on ESPN Radio, as the theme song artist for several of the station’s jocks, Public Service Announcements aired during regular programming, and has performed live at several ESPN Radio events.

Future…

DUN has a completed a demo available to any record labels interested in hearing more than what is on this website. The video for his first single is due to be out in October 2007, produced by Grove St. Entertainment, co-owed by DUN and Frank P., aka Cut the Check. He will also be performing live at the Spectrum during the Philadelphia Expo on Saturday October 27, 2007. What up peoples ,every week on this blog I Will introduce yall to the artist that will appear on the next show,This Week Friday we will be bring you Rahsaan from out of NYC,When I first heard this artist at a showcase in BK,I Was very impressed by his content and his Style definitely one to look out for in 2008.Here is some more info about him:
Renegade Music/G-Town Music Group is proud to announce that their premiere artist, Rahsaan, will be receiving an award at the 1st Annual Underground and Indie (U-N-I) Award Show for BEST MALE SOLO PERFORMER for 2007.

As the articulate voice of Generation X, Rahsaan has thus far led an incredibly storied career, by creating the perfect balance that embodies commercial marketability and artistic substance. Revered in the underground community as " God's Favorite Rapper," Rahsaan's lyrical abilities, coupled with his impeccable stage presence has made his style likened to another world-renowned Brooklyn MC; Big Daddy Kane. Rahsaan is backed by a powerful production team known as The Marksmen, founded by Fingas, which consists of members such as NEEDLZ, BABY GRAND, both of G-Unit production credit, and a slew of others. Rahsaan was also featured as a spokes model for MECCA USA, in two worldwide ad campaigns alongside Trey Songz, Dave Meyers, and others; He is also a former menswear designer of MECCA where his collections were worn by cast members in HBO's THE WIRE and has acted in commercials for both BET and MTV, along with creating radio promos for Corona . Rahsaan also played a small role in the Rocafella Records film STATE PROPERTY. Rahsaan is a hip-hop child nurtured through the soul of music. Born in Georgetown, Guyana, his vision of society began in the heart of a country enduring endless political violence and corruption. It is through these life-molding experiences that Rahsaan, the man, the MC, has emerged.
